Looking out at the garden, I can see that many of our vegetables are going to be perfect to eat just as we leave to spend a month away. Sad, but a small price to pay for a month away.
Right now my pepper plants are starting to bud, my beans have lots of gorgeous purple flowers, and my radishes are throwing huge leafy displays.
So far, we have only harvested small salads from the garden and one beautiful radish that sat on display, but never got eaten.
It’s not much, but the salads and fresh herbs are certainly worth the effort.
